[elbe-devel] No automatic startup of services during package installation

Hi,

I came across this passage of the Technical Overview, which defines a problem but does not provide any solution to it:

"Elbe will not start any services during package installation. As a consequence, packages that require a specific service to be running will cause problems during installation. This typically includes database application packages, which set up a database in their postinst script and rely on the database server to be already running".

I need to do exactly what is discussed here, i.e. create and configure a PostgreSQL database cluster. This has to be done on the RFS creation stage (and not after booting the target device), because we mount rootfs read-only, so no /etc manipulation is allowed on the running system.

What do you usually do in such cases?
