Hi Torben,

i just tested, reviewed and applied your outstanding patches to devel/elbe-3.0.
Thanks for your work!

With your patches applied the test-system and pylint was able to point me to
some real elbe bugs. :)

A suggestions for fixing those is in this series.

I'll soon post another BIG queue with pylint fixes that applies on top of
this queue. But the other queue contains just 'cosmetic' changes that shouldn't
affect the functionality of elbe.
