This is a follow-up on the thread at
http://lists.linutronix.de/pipermail/elbe-devel/2018-November/001913.html
Unfortunately I cannot extract the Message-Id from the archive (The raw gzip'd
mails are garbage), so here comes a new thread.

This uses command_out over system_out, as suggested by Torben, because we should
not introduce a new error state just because a command of the workaround
failed. Best-effort should be sufficient in this case.
