Finally!!!! I'm very happy to see this patch. There's however some
place in Elbe that are not marked with TODO:py3 and I'm sure there's
going to be some encoding errors.
Can you provide your branch on lxcvs so I can rebase on it?
I'll start fixing the TODO:py3 and do intensive testing.
