[elbe-users] Elbe building debian package fails

I'm trying to build a (custom) debian package for debian stretch.
Elbe version is 12.5+deb10+build901 on debian buster.
This used to work in the last elbe version with the exact same build
steps.
I'm now getting for the pbuilder log (stderr):
elbe control get_files Failed
dumping logfile
In the stdout log I can't find anything wrong, the tail is:
Exporting indices...
[CMD] reprepro --basedir "/var/cache/elbe/ea3d610a-e7d1-46bf-8148-dc3ed608104b/repo" export stretch
[INFO] Pdeb finished successfully

Pushing source into pbuilder
Pdebuild finished !

Saving generated Files to ..
Nothing is saved locally (but I never downloaded the .deb as I'm using
it in a subsequent step to build an image).
I can successfully download the .deb etc with
% elbe control get_files --output test-output /var/cache/elbe/ea3d610a-e7d1-46bf-8148-dc3ed608104b
source.xml (Current source.xml of the project)
validation.txt (Package list validation result)
elbe-report.txt (Report)
log.txt (Log file)
pbuilder/result/iptna_1.0.tar.gz (Pbuilder artifact)
pbuilder/result/iptna_1.0_armel.changes (Pbuilder artifact)
pbuilder/result/iptna_1.0.dsc (Pbuilder artifact)
pbuilder/result/iptna_1.0_armel.deb (Pbuilder artifact)
pbuilder/result/iptna_1.0_armel.buildinfo (Pbuilder artifact)
The .deb looks ok on inspection.
And I'm getting:
: ralf at bee:1162; elbe control list_projects
/var/cache/elbe/ea3d610a-e7d1-46bf-8148-dc3ed608104b tighten-ARM-with-adk 1.0 build_done 2020-09-04 10:28:43.811537
So it looks like elbe thinks the build was successful?
When I subsequently try to build the image anyway I'm getting a
traceback that the package could not be found in the cache.
