[elbe-devel] initvm ERROR: Bad archive mirror

[Sorry if the -devel is the wrong list, I didn't find any public mailinglists on the mailman page]

I've tried to get a new initvm running with elbe but fail, so far I've
tried:
- Elbe 1.1 (debian repo) with explicit
  <initvm>
    ...
    <mirror>
  set to debian jessie
- Elbe 1.9.11 (debian elbe-testing repo)
  - with explicit XML
  - and without explicit XML config for the image

All fail with the error message below.

I've also tried to build with Elbe 1.1 without an additional .xml --
this works but seems to install debian wheezy (?)

Any advice how to further debug this?
It seems that I don't get a network connection in the VM to the outside,
the "Checking the Debian archive mirror" takes ages (it's much faster
with Elbe 1.1 and the default settings when it's working).

Should I use elbe-testing or simply elbe for a jessie target with UBI?

Error message:

-------------------------------------

!! ERROR: Bad archive mirror

An error has been detected while trying to use the specified Debian archive
mirror.

Possible reasons for the error are: incorrect mirror specified; mirror is not
available (possibly due to an unreliable network connection); mirror is broken
(for example because an invalid Release file was found); mirror does not
support the correct Debian version.

Additional details may be available in /var/log/syslog or on virtual console 4.

Please check the specified mirror or try a different one.
